Our Chapter President
Last update: 06/04/07
Our president for the year 2007
is Tom Powers. He sings bass and is the bass section leader.
An avid quartetter, he has been a member of the High Rollers
foursome for fourteen years. He joined the chapter in 1987,
having cut an article out of the Davis Enterprise three years
earlier.
Tom has held virtually every chapter office. In addition,
he has been the Singing Valentines Chairman and has headed
Harmony in our Lives, an annual fundraiser for music in the
schools. Last year the chapter raised $6,500 to be used for
a mini-grant program administered through the Davis School
Arts Foundation.
Tom is a mostly retired financial management C.P.A. He is a
diehard Stanford sports fan having earned a B.A. and MBA from
that university. He and wife Jeannine have grown children and
grandchildren. They reside in Davis.

Our Chorus Director
Ollie Brilhante comes to us from the Bay Area Metro
Chapter, recently merged with the San Jose Chapter now
called Voices in Harmony. Ollie was an assistant director,
a quartet man, and retains his affiliation as their
Operations Vice President. This is his first assignment
as a "front line" director.
Ollie was born and raised in Hawaii. He joined the
Aloha Chapter in 1974. His musical inspirations and
genes come from his grandfather, dad and uncles, who
always sang and harmonized at family gatherings.
Before coming to the Bay Area, he lived in Greensboro,
North Carolina where he sang with the Greensboro chapter.
Ollie invites men of good will to visit the West Valley
Chorus at their new location in Dixon on Mondays for an
evening of singing and fun. He sings tenor and will be
pleased to form a quartet for a song or a tag.
